Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Raisebase collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers founders who use the product and the investors whose professional information appears in our database.
Founders and other users
- Account details: name, email address and a salted, hashed password.
- Startup profile: what you enter or confirm about your company (name, website, sectors, stage, raise size, location, traction, deck link).
- Workspace data: your pipeline, notes, reminders, lists and tracked deck links.
- LinkedIn connections you upload: names, companies, titles, profile URLs and, if present, email addresses. We use them only to find warm paths for you. They are never shown to anyone else or used to contact anyone, and you can delete them from the Warm intros page at any time.
- Billing: payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. We receive your customer and subscription identifiers and payment status, never your full card details.
- Deck link views: when someone opens a tracked link you created, we log the time, approximate city and country, and browser type, and show them only to you.
Investors in our database
We compile professional information about investors from public sources: SEC Form D filings, SEC investment adviser filings, the public Y Combinator directory and investors’ own websites. We store firm names, business locations, business phone numbers and websites as published, fund and deal vehicles, portfolio activity, and the names and titles of people listed on those filings. We do not collect personal phone numbers, home addresses or other non-professional details, and we do not scrape LinkedIn.
Anyone can ask us to correct or remove a profile using the removal request form. We act on requests within a few business days and keep a record of each request so removed profiles stay removed after our monthly data refresh.
How we use information
- To run the product: search, matching, drafts, pipeline, warm-path finding.
- To send account email such as password resets and reminders you ask for.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Your rights (including California residents)
Under the CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws you can ask to know, access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither). Founders can export their pipeline and delete their account from Settings. Anyone can email support@raisebase.app; we respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Retention and security
Workspace data is kept until you delete it or your account. Sessions expire after 30 days. Data is stored with our infrastructure providers in the United States and encrypted in transit.
Service providers
Cloudflare (hosting and security), Neon (database), Dodo Payments (payments), and an email delivery provider for account email. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
